I think that the main change that will happen is that Crash will actually go to Penn’s side. Right now it looks like Crash is the antagonist because he is mean and a bully. However Penn is the exact opposite. One thing I like about Crash (book) is that it is from the bad guy’s perspective. So for traits , Crash is mean and I think that after the turning point he will become nice.
I agree that the turning point will be when penn and crash become friends. I don't really think that penn will go out with this new hot girl. because he is just a male cheerleader in MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! Does he want to be the laughing stock of the grade.
Crash the antagonist is very mean but he is nice to a select few people. Crash is also very energetic and he is strong. He is very violent. He is super jealous of Penn because Penn and Jane Forbes are friends. Crash has a big crush on Jane.
I think he is not “nice to select few people” I think he is just nice to Mike and will try to be nice to Jane. I agree that he is super jealous of Penn. Because “he spent the rest of the day checking out the new girl” and Jane helped Penn. I suggest you put a bit of evidence.
I think Crash is a person who might judge you on how you look and is quick to judge people. I think that a little bit 'jelly' of Penn because he thinks the new girl who crash has a major crush on likes penn so I think that crash will try to humiliate Penn in front of the new girl. I wonder if Crash will start to go out with the new girl, if he does do you think Penn will care. I think crash will have a food fight or something with Penn judeing on how fast he reacted and fought in the football practice.
I agree that Crash is quick to judge people. Because even when he was six he quickly judged Penn. I am not sure if Jane has a crush on Penn or is just a friend. Because all she has done yet is help Penn wash his shoes. I also wonder if Crash is going to go out with the new girl. I don’t think Penn would throw food but I am sure Crash will try to fight with Penn.
I agree Eamon, Crash is way too fast at judging people, like he hated Penn and he liked Jane both from the second he saw them. I like how you used the word jelly. I also agree Crash will try to make sure Jane hates Penn and likes him.
I think that Penn is very gullible.I think this because, he is still Crash's friend even though Crash lied about his name twice such as Mergatroid and Humphrey . Crash even made fun of Penn's clothes that he bought from the Thrift shop called "Second Time Around". Another reason I think that Penn is gullible I because, Penn invited Crash to his house for dinner , even though Crash has purposely pulled off and broken his pins.
I think crash is a person who will either like you or hate you, depending on your personality. I think this because he liked mike, but not penn. Another reason is that crash may like someone that he hates now, like in the book trailer.

I think J.S. wrote this book because of the following points so my first point is that every one need money I also think that Js really enjoyed writing and he wanted to write a good book next why good strong friendships and important I think JS wanted to tell people the horros of being a teen but you might survive be the change you want to see in the world
I know that J.S. wanted to get the money but what else apart from being the horrors of a teen did J.S. really want to tell. What was the theme of the book? Was it friendship or bullying.
Jerry Spinelli wrote “Crash” because it teaches about a teenage life. Change. Friendship. Winning and Growing Up. Changing Friends. How you think about things. Evidence: At the beginning Crash said “I have never been No.2 in my life. I can’t stand to lose. More then that I just won’t. I am like on of my t-shirts Refooze To Looze. But at the end he actually lets Penn beat him in a race. He had always played tricks on Penn he had put mustard in his shoes. He refuses to lose but he lets Penn beat him.
When Mike kidnaps Penn’s turtle. Crash pushes his best friend breaking their friendship and takes the turtle and gives it to Penn. At the end it says “Now Penn is my best friend” This is letting other people win, changing friendships and above all growing up. These are the qualities of life. Which makes people study Jerry Spinelli’s book and these qualities are important so Jerry Spinelli writes a book about it.
I agree with you Vivek, Jerry Spinelli wrote this book because he wanted to teach people about teenage life. I also agree he wanted to show friendships can change overtime. I like the example you have given.
Jerry Spinelli wrote the book "Crash" because maybe it happened to him snd he wants to make kids in the world know that bullies never get what they want. For example Crash wanted Jane to be his girlfriend but because he is a bully it does not happen. He wanted to show that you should not me friends with a bully. (Mike) Crash is angry at Mike. Also this book was fun for him and he does it for a living so he made it to make money. His massage was be a good person. He might have wanted to show how complicated life can be as a teen and even otherwise.
I agree he wanted to show how complicated a teen life can be. Before I did not realize that the book also shows don’t be friends with a bully. Like Alonzo and Bryan. Alonso was friends with a bully, Brain.
AJ, I agree with you, because Crash is angry with Mike. I didn't think about complicated teen life I think you could have added something about friendships
I think Jerry Spinelli wrote crash to tell people through writing how friendships can change over time, even depending on the friends themselves. For example, When Crash saves Penn's turtle from Mike throwing it. Also, I think he wrote this book for parent awareness to their child, like if the child is going through some friendship dilemmas, and the child doesn't tell the mother or father, that is what could happen to them, like Penn. He didn't talk to his parents about Crash, so he got bullied.
Nirvaan, I agree with you. Jerry Spinelli did write the book to tell people about friendships and they can change. I did not think about parent awareness and I think you are totally right.
I think that J.S. wrote this book for multiple reasons. One reason is that maybe it was to show people the horrors of bullying because there are multiple examples each time getting worse for example it starts out with Crash taking off Penn's pin and stomping on it to Crash knocking Penn down. It might have also been because of J.S.'s past experience since this story is realistic. And the final reason is that no one can resist money.
I think that the main change that will happen is that Crash will actually go to Penn’s side. Right now it looks like Crash is the antagonist because he is mean and a bully. However Penn is the exact opposite. One thing I like about Crash (book) is that it is from the bad guy’s perspective.
